East of the Franklin Mountains over the Hueco Bolson, drilling through basin fill rather than river deposits. Deeper holes, more casing, and a screen placement decision that sets water quality for the life of the well. Lots are larger, so access and electrical capacity matter more than setbacks.
Rural acreage at the edges of the county and across the Hudspeth line, where utility service stops entirely. These are private-well-only properties, and they carry the same Texas rules as everywhere else in Groundwater Management Area 5: licensed driller, State of Texas Well Report within 60 days, and 50 feet from septic.
